The star cast of Salman Khan's forthcoming film with Ali Abbas titled 'Bharat' is getting bigger and better with each passing day. Post taking Priyanka Chopra, Disha Patani and Sunil Grover on board, the makers have confirmed the presence of veteran Diva Tabu in the film.

The film's director is super excited to work with the celebrated actress with his period drama which is an official adaptation of the 2014 South Korean film Ode to My Father. Confirming the news, Ali shared Tabu's picture on Twitter and wrote, "Finally it’s happening, so excited to work with you :) lots of love."

While nothing about her character is revealed yet, reports suggest that the actress will play a crucial role in chronicle struggles of Salman Khan's ordinary man right from the point of India’s Independence in 1947. This will notably be the two actors' fifth outing together.

Tabu and Salman had earlier shared screen space in Sohail Khan's film 'Jai Ho', 'Hum Saath Saath Hain', 'Jeet' and 'Biwi No 1'. Disha Patani will reportedly play a trapeze artist in the film. Her sequence is said to be shot as a tribute to legendary Hindi film actor Raj Kapoor.

Earlier, the director has confirmed, "Bharat is a mature, subtle love story and her character is the soul of the film. She stands shoulder-to-shoulder with Salman in his journey and is the catalyst who triggers what will be a turning point in the plot."

Bharat marks Salman Khan's collaboration with Ali Abbas Zafar after Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai. Shot across locations in Abu Dhabi and Spain, besides Punjab and Delhi in India and bankrolled by Atul Agnihotri's Reel Life Production Pvt Ltd and Bhushan Kumar's T-Series, the film is scheduled to release on Eid 2019.
