Aamir Khan's Documentary Film ‘Rubaru Roshni’ Premieres On Republic Day

Aamir Khan is all set to make a television comeback, this time with a documentary Rubaru Roshni which will premiere this Republic day at 11 am on Star Plus.

Directed by Svati Chakravarti Bhatkal, the film revolves around three stories of forgiveness that changed the course of Indian history.

The premiere of the film was held in Mumbai and was attended by eminent film and television personalities like Karan Johar, Parineeti Chopra, Sunny Leone, Sanya Malhotra, Jacqueline Fernandez, Taapsee Pannu, Swara Bhaskar, and many others.

As per reports, Aamir revealed that he had special reasons to release the film on Republic Day. The actor admitted the film made him cry and is high on emotions. "It is a national holiday, so everyone can watch it."

Several actors from the industry were seen promoting the show and were in all praise for its exceptional storyline.

It can be watched worldwide on Netflix three months later. Aamir revealed that Netflix was keen to acquire the film, but he wanted people in India to watch it first. "I chose to premiere it on TV due to the wide reach of the medium," Aamir told Mid Day.
