Its's Official! A R Rahman To Compose Music For Bollywood Remake Of 'The Fault In Our Stars'

The Hindi adaptation of super-hit Hollywood film The Fault In Our Stars (TFIOS), being produced by Fox Star Studios has now roped in Academy Award-winning music director, the legendary A R Rahman to compose the music for the Hindi version.

In the original film, based on the novel of the same name by John Green, music played a significant role, binding the narrative of the love story, with a feature song as well. The talented A R Rahman would be more than capable to break the benchmark set by the Hollywood film in terms of music.

Previously, Fox Star Studios had worked with A R Rahman for Slumdog Millionaire in which the studio won the Oscar award for Best Original Music Score.

CEO of Fox Star Studios, Vijay Singh confirmed the collaboration in a statement.

“We are thrilled to have A R Rahman on board for the Hindi adaptation of our Hollywood hit, The Fault In Our Stars. Fox Star Studios and A R Rahman have had a very special relationship over the years and we can't think of a better project to work on. With Mukesh Chhabra, the ace casting director making his directorial debut, and A R Rahman’s Midas touch, our film is all set to hit the right notes with music lovers,” said Singh.

A R Rahman, in a statement said, “I have had the pleasure of collaborating with Fox Star Studios and Mukesh Chhabra on many projects in the past and they have all been great experiences. When I heard the narration of their Indian adaptation of Fault in Our Stars and especially how music is so beautifully woven into the narrative I got quite excited. I am looking forward to creating music for this heartwarming venture.”
