CBSE Class 10 Results Declared: Here's How To Check

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the results for Class 10 Board exam which were conducted between 5 March and 4 April. Scheduled to be released by 4 pm on April 29, the result was released earlier than expected delighting the eager students.

Students can check their result on CBSE's official website cbseresults.nic.in. With the discontinuation of CCE pattern, the board examinations for class X made a comeback after 9 years. To facilitate the transition, CBSE also revised the passing criteria for the students. 

Four students - Prakhar Mittal from Gurugram, Rimzhim Agrawal from Bijnor, Nandni Garg from Shamli and Sreelakshmi G from Cochi have topped the CBSE 10th exams with 99.8% having scored 499 out of 500 marks.

The overall class 10 pass percentage is 86.70% this year. Government schools have a pass percentage of 63.97% in CBSE class 10th board exams whereas that of differently abled students is 92.55%.

Total candidates who have secured more than 90% and above is 131493 and those who have secured more than 95% is 27476. Thiruvananthapuram region has topped with a pass percentage of 99.60% followed by Chennai with 97.37% and Ajmer is third with 91.86% in class 10 board exams.

In differently-abled category, Anushka Panda from Suncity Gurgaon school with 489 marks, Sanya Gandhi from Uttam School in Ghaziabad with 489 marks and Sonya Deep Pradhan with 484 marks from JNV Dhanpur, Orissa have topped whereas a total of 11.45% students have been placed in compartment in class 10 board.

As many as 28.24 lakh students registered to appear for the CBSE board exams and 16.38 lakh students (16,38,428) appeared for the Class 10 board examination, which was conducted at 4,453 centres. The students will be required to enter their school code and centre code along with their roll numbers.
