Virat Kohli On Run-Making Spree, Becomes Fastest Player To Score 9000 Runs In ODIs

In his decade-long International cricket career, Indians have witnessed Virat Kohli's unbelievable transformation from a chubby-cheeked boy to a bearded beast who pounces at his opponent like a panther when arriving at the field.

Now the Indian cricket team's captain, Virat has achieved another feather to add to his cap by scoring the fastest 9000 runs in One Day Internationals beating the South African cricketer, AB de Villiers' record.

While the former record holder 205 innings to reach the feat, Kohli reached the figure in only 194th innings. Having scored 2000 international runs in 2017, Virat is one of the most followed players among the masses.

During the match against New Zealand on Sunday, the Indian skipper broke many records. Apart from his 32nd ODI century, the player shocked the millennials by scoring the three-figure runs in merely 95 balls with 10 fours and a six, though.

Sharing a 231-run stand with Rohit Sharma for the second wicket after losing Shikhar Dhawan, Kohli departed at 113-run after getting his ball caught by Kane Williamson. After 50 overs, the host has left the New Zealand team to chase 338 runs.

Kohli recently played his 200th ODI against New Zealand in the first match of on-going series in Mumbai. His ODI career starting from his first match against Sri Lanka in 2008 until the day has been pretty interesting.
