Following the shameful defeat in opening test against South Africa, Team India made a power-packed comeback in the second test. On the 3rd day, Indian batsmen took over the field and shook the entire South Africa squad with their blistering cricketing skills at SuperSport Park, Centurion.

Skipper Virat Kohli's defiant century proved that the run machine is ready to lead to a team with more determination. Resuming his last day's game with 85 on board, Kohli not just completed his 21st test century but also came on par with the rival team's ace batsman AB de Villiers in achieving the feat.

Following the footsteps of his hitman Rohit Sharma, the skipper who recently tied the knot with Bollywood beauty Anushka Sharma celebrated his 150-run mark by kissing his wedding ring. The spectators weren't able to refrain themselves from awing at the sweet gesture.

Kohli was soon bowled by Morkel, leaving Team India all-out at 307 giving the rival team a 28-run lead. Apart from Virat, opener Murali Vijay and R Ashwin also scored crucial 46 and 38 respectively. The day started with the men in blue playing at 183/5 and Pandya accompanying Kohli on the crease.

Hardik was soon sent back to the pavilion by Vernon Philander who dislodged his stumps while the former was casually running between the wickets. South Africa is already leading the series by 1-0, thanks to their aggressive strokes at Newlands but Morkel was able to return with figures of 4/60 in first innings of the second test as well.

While the captain was criticised for his selection choices by many for his earlier performance on the green field, his unparallel 153 runs on Monday sealed their lips. Notably, this is Virat 11th century away from home and undoubtedly, the most important one of his entire career.
