Men in Blue has been soaring high on success due to their sailing journey in the ICC U19 World Cup 2018. Adding another reason for compatriots to gush over their under nineteen squad, India thrashed Pakistan in semi-finals by 203 runs and reached the sixth world cup finals.

Post winning the toss, India opted to bat and posted the respectable score of 272/9 on board, thanks to Shubman Gill's unbeaten 102. After the Indian batsmen proved their Mattel, bowlers took up the chance to showcase their hold on the game by bundling out the rival team for 69.

With his 4/17, pacer Ishan Porel helped in dismantling Pakistan in only 29.3 overs. However, the losing team did have their moments of joy in the first innings with Muhammad Musa taking 4 wickets and Arshad Iqbal 3 but in the process, they also gave away major runs.

Skipper Prithvi Shaw, who has led India through all the matches in U19 2018 stood like a rock in the semi-finals as well and beautifully scored a 59-ball 47 runs. Although, his attempt at taking a quick run gave Pakistan a chance to take his wicket.

Manjot's dismissal also came as a huge shock to India but Gill's inspiring ton, which also marked his sixth consecutive fifty-plus total in U19 ODIs was enough to dampen their spirits. While Shubham was scoring major runs, Harvik Desai (20), Riyan Parag (2) and Abhishek Sharma (5) played their parts well.

Gill's crucial 67-run partnership with Anukul Roy (33 off 45) also contributed to India's impressive score. Pakistan did try to make a comeback at Hagley Oval but failed, handing India an easy entry into finals to play with Australia in Tauranga on Saturday.
