While Indian cricket team is locking horns with the South African team in Cape Town, the former batting legend Sachin Tendulkar shared an interesting incident from a 2010-11 Test series. He further expressed why the men in blue need to be cautious while playing on the track of Newlands Cricket Ground where they are playing on Friday.

Sachin and Rahul Dravid have often created magic with their on-field batting skills and extraordinary partnership which they showcased against Dale Steyn. Known for his fiery personality, the South African pacer was tricked by the Indian batsmen in his own game.

"The Cape Town pitch of the 2010-11 was the most challenging track. I remember while fielding, I told Rahul Dravid that this was a proper seaming track. You never felt settled even after scoring runs. You had to play on the rise," said Tendulkar.

The celebrated batsman is often noted inspiring the young players with his expertise in field and level of patience. Recalling another one of his double-century which he scored in Sydney, Sachin shared his secret of scoring the double-ton at such a challenging track.

"The Australian pacers during that innings were bowling straight and into the wicketkeeper's gloves. I told myself, 'Good, you people want to bowl where you want, I would wait and make you bowl, where I want'," he elaborated.

"A good batting line-up is the one which makes a bowling unit bowl where they want to. Each wicket has a certain character where you should know which shots to play and which ones not to," Tendulkar concluded.
