In a clean-sweep by New Zealand's aggressive bowling, Pakistan lost its chance to claim the ongoing ODI series due to their poor batting order. The Black Caps were able to dismiss the visiting team on the third one-day international at University Oval for mere 74 runs.

Leading the series by 3-0, New Zealand won the Saturday's match by 183 runs leaving the Pakistani players ashamed. The visiting team had already lost its 8 wickets before reaching 35 and failed to touch their previous lowest of 116 as well.

The visitors lost six wickets in 15 overs with only 16 runs in hand. Skipper Sarfraz Ahmed and Faheem Ashraf were able to score 14 runs for the seventh wicket but the latter soon fell to Ferguson whereas Hasan Ali's bowl was caught, Kane Williamson.
