IPL 2018: Royal Challengers Bangalore Outclass Kings XI Punjab, Win By 10 Wickets

Royal Challengers Bangalore kept their playoff hopes alive as they showcased a bowling dominance against Kings XI Punjab by bowling them out for 88 on Monday in the match played in the eleventh edition of the Indian Premier League. They chased the score within nine overs to win the game by 10 wickets.

Sent into bat first, KXIP never managed to get going and struggled from the start. Their innings was wrapped by 15.1 overs. RCB’s Umesh Yadav spewed a fiery spell where he took three wickets for 23 runs in his four overs.

Chasing a small total, Skipper Virat Kohli led from the front with the bat with an unbeaten 48 while Parthiv Patel made unbeaten 40 to help RCB romp home.

Kohli struck six fours and two towering sixes during his 28-ball unbeaten knock, while Parthiv's innings was laced with seven boundaries.

Besides, Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal (1/6), Colin de Grandhomme (1/8), Moeen Ali (1/13) and Mohammed Siraj (1/17) picked up a wicket each.

This is KXIP’s third consecutive loss. In 12 games they’ve played they have won six and lost as many.

RCB have five wins of the 12 games they have played and with this victory they need to win the last two matches to have a hope to qualify for the playoffs.
