Two retired cricketers of Indian and Pakistani National teams locked horns once again during the new T10 League tournament in Sharjah. The former International players were leading their teams with utmost sincerity and dedication when Afridi's historical hat-trick left the spectators spell-bound.

Leading Pakhtoons against Virender Sehwag's Maratha Arabians, veteran all-rounder Shahid Afridi took three wickets back to back with his first three balls including the Maratha captain who went back to pavilion soon after reaching the batting end. Afridi's stint also granted his team a victory by 25 runs.

For his designated two overs, the former Pakistani cricketer only gave away 19 runs and took 3 wickets. After removing Rilee Rossouw with his first ball, Shahid took down Dwane Bravo followed by Captian Sehwag. While Pakhtoons scored 121/6 in 10 overs, the rival team was only able to score 96.

Following his heroic display, Afridi expressed, "I really enjoyed it, it is totally different." Praising his team, he added, "The boys did really well." Despite failing with bat, his bowling made up for his performance and gave reason to the audience for remembering the match.

T10 league has been signed up by six teams which include players like Virender Sehwag, Mohammed Amir, Kieron Pollard, Sunil Narine, Shahid Afridi and Alex Hales respectively for the matches to take place between December 14-17.

An unbeaten score of 45 from 22 balls from Fakhar Zaman and Liam Dawson's 23-ball 44 helped Pakhtoons score 121. Alex Hales unbeaten 57 off 26 balls helped Maratha Arabians in reaching the respectable score of 96.
