Volvo Auto India on Tuesday launched it's highly anticipated V40 hatchback.
The car was first unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 2012, The V40 will compete with the likesof BMW 1 series and Mercedes A-Class.
The V40 in looks is similar to the Cross Country.
The V40 comes in two varients, The kinetic and R-Design, Both the varients come packed with a Drive-E, four-cylinder engine lineup, 2.0-litre D3 twin turbo diesel, same as the Cross Country.
The diesel engine produces a maximum power of 150PS @ 350Nm of torque. The engine works on a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The V40 comes fully loaded with security features with ABS, traction control, dual zone climate control, parking censors and airbags – front, side, curtain and pedestrian as standard.
The R-Design comes with a blacked-out grille, air dam, alloys, panormic glass roof along with rain sensing wipers, adaptive digital display console, a climate control system, leather seats, powered front seats etc and keyless start.
The Volvo V40 Kinetic will be available for Rs 24.75 lac, whereas the Volvo R-Design Rs 27.7 lac.
