More than a decade after Dhirubhai Ambani’s Karlo Duniya Muthi Me
son Mukesh Ambani is set to introduce Reliance Jio 4G services, an all new platform which may change next few years of India’s mobile revolution.
Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) on Friday announced that it will kick-start the commercial operations of its much-awaited 4G services by the end of this year.
In a press conference, Mukesh Ambani explained how the 4G service will offer wireless voice as well as broadband services.
"Over the next few months, we will initiate an extensive beta launch," said the Reliance chairman told media.
India’s richest man’s idea may work perfectly and give jolt to other telecommunication giants of India:
Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance entered in the world of telecoms after acquiring Infotel Broadband Services in 2010. It is pertinent to mention that it was the first and only company that won auction of nationwide 4G airwaves.
4G is smarter and much-much faster than the present 3G services in India. According to sources, with the Reliance 4G services, the users will be able download movies within few seconds. Yes, you do not have to wait for entire night to download your favourite movies.
These phones will provide service of HD television, video on demand (exactly like DTH services), video chat, and lighting fast speed to download data, movies or music.
Smartphone will start from Rs 4,000. Think as there are hardly any smartphone is available in the market in that price band.
The Reliance Jio is offering data and voice plan from Rs 300 to Rs 500 per month.
"In our digital business, our plan is to provide the same power of computing, communication and information to every individual, whether in towns or rural areas, that the US President had ten to fifteen years ago. All this at about Rs 300 to Rs 500 per month," Ambani said.
A normal monthly 3G plan charges around Rs 150 to Rs 250 for 1 GB data. That means, you can do so many things in the ultrasonic speed of Reliance Jio 4G just by spending a bit more.
