Micromax users will avail unlimited downloads without advertisement and access over 10 million songs with ad-supported streaming from Ganna.com. The Indian phone manufacturer has invested an undisclosed amount in music broadcast and streaming platform Gaana.com. This is the latest in the series of strategic investment by Micromax after the Gurgaon-based company invested in Ixigo, HealthifyMe, MiMedia, Scandid and others.
Micromax will now preinstall Gaana across its range of smartphones. This is the first round of external funding secured by Gaana owned by owned by Times Internet Limited (TIL).
Gaana claims to have over 20 million active users and over 700 percent annual growth in consumption and over 10 million songs in more than 45 languages, as well as 45 radio stations. Micromax claims to ship over 3.5 million mobile phones on a monthly basis.
