The Indo-Japanese carmaker Maruti Suzuki On Wednesday launched the Alto 800 facelift with a starting price of Rs 2.49 lakh.
At this price, the Alto 800 petrol model has become the most affordable vehicle in its category. Its closest rival Renault Kwid's prices start at Rs 2.62 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The new Alto 800 is a lot more fuel efficient. Alto 800 now delivers a superior fuel efficiency of 24.7 Km/l of petrol, around 9 per cent improvement over the earlier version. In CNG mode the Alto 800 offers a mileage of 33.44 Km/Kg an improvement of around 10 per cent.
On the outside, the Alto 800 facelift gets an updated front fascia with new headlight clusters, a new grille and a new bumper with provision for foglight.
The new bumper and grille have increased the overall length of the small car by 35 mm. Additionally, the Alto 800 facelift is available in two new colors – Mojito Green and Cerulean Blue.
Inside, the Alto 800 facelift gets a new dark grey interior with new seat and door trim fabrics and an integrated headrest for the rear seat.
