American multinational automaker Ford on Monday launched the special 'Sports Edition' models of its one the most successful cars Figo and Aspire. After huge success of Ford Figo and Ford Aspire in India, the company decided to launch special edition models of the cars.
Both the cars are available in petrol as well diesel trims and are based on the Titanium variant of both the models.

Here are few things which you need to know before buying the special edition cars by Ford:
As far as visuals of the cars are concerned, both the cars comes with few but noticeable cosmetic updates to make it look like a sports edition car.
Ford's hatchback Figo and sub-compact sedan Aspire, both the car somewhere looks identical. However, both the cars also get the same black fishnet grille and smoked back headlamps.

The car gets the all-new bumper, which adds a bit of extra muscle to the cars with its sculpted lines. Deep indents making the car look more elegant are also present on either side where the round fog lamps have also been placed.
The all new Ford Figo and Aspire 'sports edition' also comes with wider 15-inch black alloy wheels, glossy black outside rear view mirrors with integrated turn signal lights and a blackened roof.
To make the cars look more elegant, the car comes with some sporty side decals that come with 'S' lettering to signify the 'sports edition' model.
Mechanically the cars have not been changed, as they still use the same 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine. While the enigne is capable of making a maximum of 87 bhp and develop and peak torque of 113 Nm, while the oil burner churns out a 99 bhp and develops 215 Nm of peak torque.
However, both the cars come with a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard.
The interiors of the car compliment the sporty character of the exterior, while the cabin of both the cars are very much similar to each other. The all-black cabin designed with premium quality material makes the car look more elegant.
The Ford Figo Sports Edition is priced at ₹ 6.31 lakh for the petrol variant and ₹ 7.21 lakh for the diesel model, the Ford Aspire Sports Edition has been launched at ₹ 6.50 lakh for the petrol trim and ₹ 7.60 lakh for the oil burner. (All prices ex-showroom, Delhi).
