Big Boost To Modi Govt: #RecordJobCreation At 7-Year High, India Back On Growth Track

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked his team to figure out how many jobs were created in the four years of his government.

Ministries have been instructed to come up with a detailed note on the projects and programs undertaken by them and calculate the jobs they helped generate, according to people familiar with the matter.

They were also asked to measure the impact of various programs on GDP growth.

The results of this analysis are quite impressive for the BJP government as it has created a large number of employment services in almost every sector.

Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) placed 3.16 lakh candidates under government employment scheme, within two years of its launch in 2016.

PM Narendra Nodi in Lok Sabha said "Many lies are being spread over an issue of unemployment in India. Again, there is an attempt to trample the truth. No information, & opposition is just making baseless talks."

"Govt of India's great idea Startup India Scheme is not only to help new entrepreneurs in setting up business but also to drive job potential," PM added.

PM said "If we talk about the informal sector, many people get employment in the transport sector. Last year, 7,60,000 commercial vehicles were sold.

Employment creation is a top priority for Modi as he prepares to seek re-election early next year.

Modi’s instructions to his ministerial colleagues also include ranking the top five districts that have benefited the most from government programs and studying improvement in the ease of living of citizens.
