When any individual wants to start a business he or she looks for best and easy alternatives in order to form a hassle-free business.
According to the latest released data on Tuesday by the World Bank in collaboration with Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP), Andhra Pradesh topped the list of ease of doing business states in India for the second consecutive year with a score of 98.42 percent. Telangana, Haryana and Jharkhand are ranked after Andhra Pradesh.
National Capital Delhi ranked 23rd with a score of 31.60 percent.
Top ten states for ease in doing business are Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Haryana, Jharkhand, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Rajasthan and West Bengal.
According to released data key reforms achieved under the Business Reform Action Plan, 2017, there are 19 states/UTs that have designed an Information Wizard providing information for approvals, licenses, registration timelines, and procedure to establish business units and Industrial organisations. 16 states/UTs have established commercial courts at the district level to resolve disputes.
The government launched Business Reform Action Plan last year in order to rank the states on the parameters of ease of doing business so that it could trigger competition among states and attract more investors.
DIPP and the World Bank in collaboration conducted an annual reform exercise for all the States and Union Territories under the Business Reform Action Plan (BRAP). The assessment was based on a combined score consisting of reform evidence scores and feedback scores. Reform evidence score is based on evidence uploaded by the States and UTs and feedback score is based on the response provided by the actual users.
