After Frequent Falls, Petrol Rises Again Crosses Rs 69/Litre Mark In Delhi

Fuel prices on Friday hiked after a month of numerous falls as international crude prices continued to rally. Petrol, diesel prices became costlier by 18-32 paise per litre across various cities of the country. 

Petrol price in the national capital crossed a mark of Rs. 69/litre. The revised price of petrol in Delhi is Rs. 69.07 per litre as against Rs.68.88 per litre yesterday. Diesel is sold at  Rs 62.81, 28 paise higher than yesterday's price of Rs 62.53.

In Mumbai, petrol price increased by 19 paise. Diesel in Mumbai became costlier by 30 paise. In Gurugram, petrol, diesel prices rose to Rs 70.27 and Rs 63.03 respectively.

Crude prices edged higher on Thursday, supported by comments from the US Federal Reserve chairman, but gains were capped as optimism surrounding US-China trade talks faded.

On Friday, crude prices fell marginally and the Brent crude futures were trading 0.21 per cent lower at $61.55 per barrel.

Despite Friday's price fall, Brent crude is set for weekly gains of more than 7 per cent.
