Volkswagen Showcases All New SUV 'T-Roc' At 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show, Find Out More

The German based car manufacturer Volkswagen has finally showcased their upcoming SUV T-Roc at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show. The company also announced its plan for electric mobility and a line of products in that section.

As for the car, the new vehicle goes to market by the end of the year while it is expected that the model will make its way to India by the next year.

The five-seater T-Roc is based on Volkswagen's modular transverse matrix (MQB) and offers a choice of three petrol and two diesel engines variants. The vehicle will also be offering a Four Wheel Drive system on some variants while it will also be available in three trims - Standard, Style and Sport.

T-Roc also has a sporty look which is further outlines by the wide front grille, LED DRLs, wraparound LED taillights and twin-exhausts. The black plastic cladding across the wheel curves is also adding a unique off-road look to the new vehicle.

The vehicle is expected to target the young buyers with its flashy looks and performance based model.

On the inside, the new Volkswagen have a spacious cabin that complimented with all-black theme outlined with contrasting colour edges on dashboard, door pads and the centre panel. There is also an 11.3-inch digital instrument screen along with a secondary 8-inch touchscreen system that is tilted towards the driver. It also has Android Auto, Apple CarPlay connectivity, Bose audio system and a charging plate.

The new SUV also has sleek front and rear bumpers, paired with body coloured door fenders and sporty rear diffuser.

While the vehicle has been showcased at the annual event, there is still no word on its launch in India. According to speculations, the price of this SUV should be around Rs 16-20 lakh (ex-showroom price) and will compete against Hyundai's Tuscon and Jeep Compass.
