Triumph Motorcycles is set to launch the new Tiger Explorer by the end of July.
The new 2017 Tiger Explorer is already on sale in markets abroad and is available in six variants across the XR and XC range, but for India, Triumph will be introducing only the Tiger Explorer XCx variant.
The new 2017 tiger also offers three rider modes – Road, Rain and Off-road along with traction control and ABS that change as per the mode selection. It also gets a hydraulic torque assist clutch to reduce lever effort and riding fatigue. The XC-series model which is expected to hit the Indian market gets a 19-inch front wheel keeping heavy off-road in focus.
Tiger Explorer XCx is expected to be priced at Rs 21 lakh – Rs 22 lakh (ex-showroom) and in this segment it competes with the likes of Ducati Multistrada 1200 S and BMW S 1000 XR.
