New BMW 330i Gran Turismo M Sport Launched In India

BMW has added a new top-spec trim to its 3-series GT line-up in India. Offering a blend of luxury and class with sportiness the 330i GT M Sport, priced at Rs 49.40 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The new range-topping trim commands a premium of about Rs 80,000 compared to the petrol Luxury Line variant. With this addition, the total number of variants in the 3 GT line up goes up to three - one diesel and two petrol versions.

The M Sport variant features sporty cosmetic changes on the outside with distinctive touches like glossy-black kidney grille slats, 18-inch ‘M’ star-spoke alloy wheels, ‘M’ badging on the front side panels, aluminium garnishing on the side window frames and a  glossy-chrome garnish on the tailpipe. The range-topping trim also gets an exclusive metallic Estoril Blue paint finish.

On the inside, it gets a large heads-up display, a 10.5-inch digital instrument cluster, an M Sport multifunction steering wrapped in leather, M badges on the door sill and headliners finished in grey.

In terms of equipment, the 330i GT M Sport gets all the features of the 330i Luxury Line, like BMW’s iDrive with an 8.8-inch display, the navigation system with 3D maps integrated with GPS, BMW Apps, Park Distance Control (PDC) that includes front and rear parking sensors, a reversing camera and smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth, USB and Aux-in. The range-topper also adds cruise control with a braking function.

In a statement, BMW Group India President Vikram Pawah said "The new BMW 330i Gran Turismo M Sport with a perfect blend of sporting character, impressive performance, and appealing design makes every journey an unforgettable experience,".

The safety kit includes six airbags, ABS with brake assist, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) including Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Cornering Brake Control (CBC), side-impact protection, Isofix child seat mounts, run-flat tyres with reinforced sidewalls, an electronic vehicle immobiliser and crash sensors.

The new variant shares its 1,998cc, four-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine with the 330i Luxury Line, which makes 252hp and 350Nm of peak torque. The motor is mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox that sends power to the rear wheels. The 330i GT M Sport can hit 100kmph from a standstill in 6.1 seconds.

The new variant is available in two colours - Alpine White (non-metallic) and Estoril Blue (metallic).
