The new Audi A8 is going to get new cameras which will improve the safety of the car. Adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist and automatic braking are all possible due to the use of cameras.

The new A8 will use cameras to predict the road ahead and adjust the suspension for a better ride.

The A8 is the most expensive car that Audi manufactures in the luxury car segment and it will make sure that the car has all the best features.

The front camera of the A8 detects speed breakers, and then the car's active suspension adjusts itself in advance. The entire process -- from detection of bumps to suspension adjustment -- happens in just a few milliseconds. Audi claims the camera gauges the condition of the upcoming road an exceptionally 18 times a second. Yes, it happens so fast that you won't even notice anything, thanks to the 48V electrical system that powers the adaptive suspension system.

The suspension also connects to Audi's suite of active and passive safety systems. If the system detects an imminent side impact at a speed greater than 15 mph, it can raise one side of the car to ensure the oncoming vehicle contacts the strongest points of the car's chassis. Audi estimates that the consequent load on the occupants can be reduced by up to 50 percent, compared to a body that doesn't raise before impact.
